The Brazilian indie/psych band Oruã released Romã

A while ago we at Fuzzy Sun were very happy to premiere the videoclip ‘Malquerências’ from the upcoming album ‘Romã’ by the Brazilian hazy psych band Oruã.

Oruã is Lê Almeida, João Luiz and Phill Fernandes. Together this trio released their first record Sem Bênção / Sem Crença, released in Brazil by Transfusão Noise Records* and just released in the United States as a double LP via IFB Records.

In June the band released their new album ‘Romã’ and startet another US tour opening for Built To Spill.

ROMÃ is the 103rd release by Transfusão Noise Records. The DIY label was founded by Lê Almeida in 2004 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Most of the catalog was recorded by the prolific Lê Almeida, including several side projects and his solo work.

Their music is psychedelic with indie and kraut influences. one tracks sounds like Kikagaku Mojo while another has Black Sabbath vibes. ‘Romã’ is a great piece of work by a band everyone should know.

Favourite track: Vitin
