The Black Heart Death Cult release ‘Sonic Mantras’

The Black Heart Death Cult is from Melbourne and makes trippy shoegazy psych rock. They released their second full length in March called ‘Sonic Mantras’. The 7 headed made an album that is easy to listen to and still has a lot of rocknroll. Filled with sonic layers, this album gets better with each listen. Tune in now  and discover trippy sounds like organs and sitars and stuff.

I’ve added them to the Australian list.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard release ‘Live in Melbourne ’21’

Bothe Oh Sees and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are bands that keep on giving, keep on releasing quality music in a fast pace. Now the band released another live album and again a bootlegger with this as a message with it:

“Yo indie labels, bootleggers, fans, weirdos. We’ve got a deal for ya…. If anyone wants to release these albums, you’re free to do so. Below you’ll find links to audio master files and cover art. Feel free to get creative with it if you like – it’s yours. Only deal is you’ve gotta send us some of them to sell on GIZZVERSE.COM –  whatever you feel is a fair trade is cool with us. Ideas: double LPs, 7”, remix, reimagined cover art, bizarre looking wax, live show box sets, tapes. Or keep it simple – that’s totally ok. Anyone keen?!”

Check it out now.

Strange Unit release self titled

Kinda forgot about this release, it was ready to post then it got somewhere on the bottom and I forgot about it. Luckily it ages like wine. Riffs straight from Melbourne by Strange Unit. Fast paced heavyness on this seven excellent tracks of  weirdness and noise. Tune in for Strange Unit.

Well release “Trench Dancer”

Big fat noiserock from Australia. Somewhere in Melbourne is the band Well and on their bandcamp you can find the info who played, plays aor plays again in the band but its quite complex. Unlike their sound though, they play gritty fast paced noiserock that is very enjoyable. Here and there in the tracks are arty atmopsheric pieces wich make the music more layered and much nicer. This new album is called ‘Trench Dancer” and is five tracks long and released January 17. Pretty fun to play loud.

Australian noiserockers Macros

Through the Australian band Lost Talk i came to know the band Macros with members of  LOST TALK, Overtime, Mile End, Mongrel Country. They released their EP called Macros July 1 in 2019. Macros deals in agressive punk and noiserock. The five track EP is great stuff with ‘Medicate’ as my favourite track. Tune in and listen to some Macros.

Heavy Psych on the new Khan

How do i only just discovered this band? Good Lord, Khan is this heavy psych band with cosmic stoner vibes and they absolutely kill it on their new record. ‘Vale’  is their new album and is released September 6 on Salty Dog (the Australian label that hosts a lot of really good bands).

‘Vale’ has heavy riffin tracks and hazy psych tracks on this new album and together that blends in one hell of a great album.

I added Khan to ‘The Australian List‘ because its awesome.

The debut LP by The Black Heart Death Cult

Australia seems to be a breeding ground for quality psychedelic rock because we can now listen and buy the new debut album by the Melbourne rockers The Black Heart Death Cult.

The quintet delivers fuzzy songs with sitars, mellotron flutes and many more cosmic tunes.

I’ve added them to the Australian list.
