FACS release ‘present Tense’

Chicago rockers FACS have a new album and it is pretty intense. The trio shows yet again on this album that they can experiment and make very original music. They released ‘Present Tense’ on May 21 and it has a very dark and ominous atmosphere. I really liked their previous album ‘Void Moments’ but I feel like this on is far greater, it is complex and layered, heavy and experimental but at the same time very accessible to listen to . There is doom, post-punk and noiserock in it so everyone gets something they like. I have listened a couple of times to the album and each time I hear new layers, this stuff is addictive.

Can’t choose a favourite track, can’t choose between the eerie, calm track ‘Alone Without’ or the controled noise of ‘General Public’.
